Miley Cyrus and Mom Go Shopping

Miley Cyrus may be a legal adult and multi-millionaire, but she still needs a little help from mom when it comes to decorating her new pad. Miley, 18, and her mother, Tish, were spotted carting decorative pillows out of swanky furniture store H.D. Buttercup in Culver City, California, on Thursday. Mom and daughter both sported tattered jeans (Miley's bell-bottom, Tish's skinny) and later put their arms around each other to pose for the cameras.
This all probably means Tish (and we're assuming dad Billy Ray, too) is OK with the fact her daughter is moving in with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, an Australian actor and Miley's co-star in "The Last Song." The two, who started dating after meeting on the set in 2009, broke up last summer, but then got back together a month or so later before breaking up one more time last fall. You can't keep young love down, though, as Miley and Liam reunited this spring. I'm sure Miley wouldn't be buying pillows if she didn't think this time, it's gonna' last ...

New Twilight Breaking Dawn Pic Features Kristen Stewart Wrapping Robert Pattinson Tight

New Twilight Breaking Dawn pic features Kristen Stewart wrapping Robert Pattinson tight. Hey Twilighters I saw this new, interesting pic,and thought I’d post it. It features Kristen Stewart tightly wrapped around Robert Pattinson in a “behind the scenes” shoot when Access Hollywood visited the set,and I must say, they looked quite cozy together. At one point, they were giggling up a storm.
This particular scene is,of course, the romantic waterfall scene. However, the two love birds show PDA just about everywhere in this flick. They’re very happy for a little while, but like most movie romances, it gets cut short when Bella gets pregnant with Edwards half vampire spawn.
After that,it will show Bella struggling to just, well, live. The Cullens will also have to protect her from getting ripped apart by an angry wolf pack. It should be intense. It hits theaters on November 18th

Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez visit animal shelter

And they called it puppy love.

On Friday afternoon, pop singing sensation Justin Bieber stopped in at an animal rescue centre in Winnipeg with his girlfriend, pop star Selena Gomez. He left his jacket — and she might have left with a pup.

Owner D’Arcy Johnston said Bieber’s handlers came in the Friday afternoon to “ask permission” for the boy wonder and his popstar “besty” to come inside for a visit.

“I thought they were joking,” said Johnston, who promised to respect their privacy and wouldn’t comment about the details of their visit.

“They seemed happy they got to visit some animals,” he said.

Right now, the shelter has 30 dogs and 150 cats. Johnston wouldn’t confirm rumours that Gomez left with a puppy, but he did say that the famous couple seemed to be more dog lovers than cat fans.

“It was nice to meet them. They’re nice kids,” he said.

Bieber forgot his jacket, said Johnston, who was waiting to hear from his handlers about it.

In the meantime, he doesn’t think their visit or the publicity from it will help with adoptions at the no-kill shelter. But that’s OK, he said: “I’m so pleased they made us a place to stop on the tour.”

Earlier Friday, Bieber took Gomez to one of Canadians’ favourite hangouts, showing up at a downtown Tim Hortons.

And the celebrity couple didn’t need to stand in line at the ticket booth when they wanted to watch a movie in Winnipeg Thursday night: they rented an entire theatre for themselves.

The pair snuck into SilverCity Polo Park Cinemas early Thursday evening to enjoy a private screening, according to theatre staff who asked not to be named.

They had pizza (cheese only) delivered while they watched Real Steel, which is billed as “a gritty white-knuckle action ride set in the near future, where the sport of boxing has gone hi-tech.”

Patrons in other theatres at the multi-screen facility seemed unaware the famous couple was in a neighbouring theatre, and the mood inside the lobby was as routinely quiet as any weekday evening. A black Lincoln SUV with a female driver waited outside SilverCity on the north side.

“I had a great day here in Winnipeg. I can’t wait to see y’all tomorrow!!” Gomez tweeted about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

“Feels good to be back in #Canada — missed home,” Bieber had tweeted a couple of hours earlier.

The teen pop sensation is in Winnipeg for a concert Friday night at the MTS Centre.

Gomez is expected to be treated to more than just a movie and pizza while in the city.

A source said Thursday Bieber hopes to take Gomez skating and then to the Saturday night Winnipeg Jets game against the Carolina Hurricanes, the source said.

Earlier on Thursday at The Forks, visitors were surprised when Bieber and Gomez showed up for a stroll. The pair pulled up in a limo around 1:30 p.m., according to observers, and spent a short time walking outside. They were later spotted noshing at a downtown restaurant.

“There was certainly a buzz going around,” said Forks CEO Paul Jordan, though he heard for the most part, visitors respected the pair’s privacy.

Though there was no obvious sign of them at The Forks by 3 p.m., Gomez and Bieber left a few packs of tweens scouring the site for a glimpse of the megastars.

Bieber, by the way, has a bona fide Winnipeg connection: his father Jeremy lived here, and Bieber and his father were once spotted at a Manitoba Moose game.

Taylor swift has written 25 songs for her new album

Fans will be happy to know that Taylor Swift is progressing nicely with her fourth studio record. The pop star tells the Hollywood Reporter she’s been pumping out plenty of new material in preparation for her next project.

“I’ve written 25 songs so far, so it’s coming along really well,” the 21-year-old singer revealed during an interview Tuesday.

“I’ve been writing a lot, and I like to take two years to make a record,” Taylor says of her follow up to 2010’s “Speak Now,” which she notes is “looking really great.”

“We’re at the end of year one and I still have a year left to go write,” Swift says. Taylor’s next effort could be released in the fall of 2012, considering the drop dates of her three previous albums.

Her first album, “Taylor Swift,” made its debut on October 24, 2006, followed by sophomore album “Fearless” two years later, on November 11, 2008. “Speak Now” hit stores on October 25, 2010.

The singer is currently on her “Speak Now” world tour, plus, she's busy promoting her new scent, Wonderstruck. Where does she find the time?

Emma Watson : New Promos from My Week With Marilyn

Three new promotional images of Emma Watson from My Week with Marilyn were released on FilmWeb.no today. The photos show Emma as Lucy in several costumes, and Eddie Redmayne as Colin Clark.

This next one came out several days ago. The last one we’ve posted before, but it’s now higher resolution, and less cropping.

After a positive response at the New York Film Festival, The Weinstein Company has delayed the theatrical release to coincide with the Thanksgiving Day weekend, and will open on November 23 in the US (and January 13 in Norway according to FilmWeb).

Synopsis:
In the early summer of 1956, 23 year-old Colin Clark, just down from Oxford and determined to make his way in the film business, worked as a lowly assistant on the set of “THE PRINCE AND THE SHOWGIRL”, the film that united Sir Laurence Olivier with Marilyn Monroe, who, whilst shooting, was also on honeymoon with her new husband, the playwright Arthur Miller.

Nearly 40 years on, his diary account “THE PRINCE, THE SHOWGIRL AND ME” was published, but one week was missing, and this is the story of that week: an idyll in which he escorted a Monroe desperate to get away from her retinue of Hollywood hangers-on and the pressures of working. When Arthur Miller makes a brief trip to Paris, the coast is clear for Colin to introduce her to some of the pleasures of British life.

The collision of the two worlds – old England and new Hollywood – is as incongruous as it is delightful. Slowly Marilyn begins to shake off the dark fog of insecurity and fear always hovering around her. She reacts with lovely naturalness to this alien world and as she relaxes she offers Colin fleeting insights into her own background – one of family madness, single-minded ambition and uninhibited sexuality. Simply and without self-pity, she relates the tale of her rise to the top in Hollywood; a story involving abuse of one form or another at the hands of almost every man she has ever known, abuse that has left her with only the thinnest of protective layers.

She is not without her contradictions – everyone wants something from her, but she too is fixated on the life she has chosen and is quite unable to leave it, even though the pressure is crushing her…
… and yet, for a moment, lost in the English countryside, it seems she might finally escape.

Emma plays Lucy, a wardrobe girl on the movie set, love-interest of Colin. Emma says about her character, “Lucy has experience on set, whereas to Colin Clark the film world is all new, shiny and exciting. She is very wary about Assistant Directors and she knows how these films run, but she‟s still a bit naïve and innocent. Even though at first she‟s very careful of Colin, she falls for him and ends up getting hurt.”

Miley Cyrus Is Back At #1 In Charts In…Bulgaria

Miley Cyrus might have not been a number 1 star in the US for a while now, but she is back on the charts in Bulgaria. She is number for her song “Liberty Walk” in Bulgaria. Miley, who did tour the world ealier this summer, has not had a lot of success in the US since her break. Granted, she has put her efforts elsewhere and not so much around the US. This should change soon enough as she does have a few movies lined up for release soon.

I am pleased to see that she is doing well enough to have a number 1 single in another country. I will admit that it is strange that she wants to bypass her own native country, but that is her choice. I do applaud her for her charity work that she does, but beyond that, she hasn’t done much news worthy topics this year. I suppose this is a nice welcome break for the Cyrus family, but her brother seems to be quickly filling in that void for now.

Are you happy to hear that she is anything but forgotten by her fans worldwide? I am and I am sure this pleases her. Maybe she will decide to make a full musical comeback soon enough. It does feel empty without her, even if I don’t care much for her music. I do hope she does make a come back here and be able to save the career she worked for so hard if that is why she wants and best for her healthy.

Kristen Stewart is injured on set

The shooting schedule for Kristen Stewart’s latest film suffered an unexpected hitch earlier this week after the actress injured herself on set.

Kristen, 21, has taken time out from all things ‘Twilight’ to film fantasy epic ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ with a star-studded cast including Bob Hoskins, Chris Hemsworth and Oscar-winner Charlize Theron – but an accident on set has resulted in production grinding to a halt until Friday (Oct’ 21st).

Writing on micro-blogging site Twitter, cast-member Max Manganello confirmed Kristen’s injury – which he descried as ‘nothing scary’ – but later removed the Tweet without explanation.

Speaking to Box Office magazine earlier this month, the actress spoke of the challenges she faced in taking on her new role as a warrior princess in the forthcoming film - believed to be the first in a trilogy.

"Not to trivialize it at all, but it's hard to play an action hero who is also the most compassionate person on earth," she said. "You can't hate. You epitomize bleeding hearts, so how the f**k do you do an action movie like that? She is sort of the last shred of hope for her land."

With the physically demanding nature role representing a significant departure from characters such as Bella Swan, Kristen admitted to being drained by her extensive fight scenes.

"Basically, I'm fighting evil - I'm fighting the most evil motherf**kers - and it's fine that they're being killed," she said. "It's anguish. It's literally f**king anguish. She takes absolutely no pleasure in ever hurting anything.

"I'm exhausted right now and I was thinking, "The fight stuff is coming up, maybe that won't be so bad." And then I realized that they're probably going to be my most emotional scenes because I'm killing people and I'm Snow White.

"It's a really f**king cool way to approach a movie where so many people die. Not that I'm criticizing violent movies - I love them, generally - but it is nice to do it this way."

Actress Selena Gomez gets temporary restraining order

Justin Bieber's girlfriend Selena Gomez has obtained a temporary restraining order against a 46-year-old man who she claims is stalking her.

A judge in LA approved an order requiring Thomas Brodnicki to stay at least 100 yards (91m) away from her.

The 19-year-old said: "I am in extreme fear of Mr Brodnicki, due to his direct threat on my life... as well as his history of stalking."

The actress is best known for her role in Wizards of Waverly Place.

She has appeared in films like Monte Carlo and her 2010 single Naturally made it to number seven in the UK singles chart.

The teenager's lawyer claimed Thomas Brodnicki had a history of mental illness and spoke about thoughts of killing her.

Mr Brodnicki was held for three days in a mental health centre last month after he was accused of threatening to harm people on the street by scratching their eyes out, according to court papers.

During that confinement he told a doctor he had travelled from Chicago to Los Angeles with the intention of meeting Selena Gomez and that he thought about harming or killing her, according to the court statement.

The statement also claimed Thomas Brodnicki had a history of mental illness.

The temporary restraining order against could be extended for three years at a hearing due to take place on 4 November.

Justin Bieber Marvels At Mariah Carey Christmas Collab

Justin Bieber's upcoming Under the Mistletoe album -- you know, the one powered by Christmas cookies and promoted by the first single, "Mistletoe" -- also features more than its fair share of eye-opening collaborations.

That's counting Bieber's mentor Usher (who appears on a version of "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire"), Boyz II Men, the Band Perry and, rather amazingly, Busta Rhymes, who teams up with JB on an updated take of "Little Drummer Boy."

As Bieber told MTV News during the live stream that followed the premiere of his "Mistletoe" video, the Busta collaboration is one he'll always remember ... mostly because he considers it to be quite brilliant.

"If you really think about it, it's genius, because it's rapping on a Christmas album ... and, like, I'm rapping on it. And then it's singing," he explained. "It's cool. [Busta's] got, like, a percussive voice to him [and] the beat was so crazy. I'm actually playing drums on that song, playing the snare."

And then, of course, there's his collabo with none other than Mariah Carey, on a version of her instant-classic "All I Want for Christmas Is You." If you thought he was blown away by his Busta team-up, well, you haven't heard anything yet. And he owes it all to none other than Randy Jackson.

"Mariah Carey is doing it with me! It's incredible. So excited," he said of "All I Want." "We wanted Mariah from the beginning, but we kind of thought it was really hard, so we didn't really push the idea. But she's on my label, so we reached out to some people, she got in contact with us, and Randy Jackson was actually at the studio with us, and I was like, 'Yo, you think you can help get Mariah on the Christmas album?' And he was like, 'I'm actually going to see her in New York on Monday,' and I was like 'Yo, go do that!' "

Which Bieber Christmas collabo are you most looking forward to? Let us know in the comments!

Taylor Swift is named NSAI's songwriter/artist of the year fourth time

Taylor Swift is a busy girl these days.  During her Speak Now Tour the 21 year old jetted to New York last week for the launch of her fragrance Wonderstruck  and recently she flew to Nashville to receive another award.

Swift received the Songwriter/Artist of the Year at the 41st Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Renaissance Hotel on Sunday. This is the fourth time in five years that the Nashville Songwriters Association International has honored Swift.  Swift was quite gracious to accept the award and thanked everyone in the room for giving her the honor and said that she is going to keep trying to not mess this up.  Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson were this year’s inductees and Swift even performed a cover of Jackson’s “Where Were You” for the crowd.  In addition to launching her fragrance and winning awards, Swift is also spreading the gift of books.

She has partnered with Scholastic to donate 6,000 books to kids in the city where she was born.  The value of the books is estimated to be $68,000 and it’s hoped the collection of books, which was chosen by workers at the learning establishment, will help boost the economically-troubled library. Each of the books will have a white star on its spine and a special sticker indicating it’s a Taylor-donated book.  What do you think of Taylor’s newest award?

Emma Roberts' Party-Hopping Night in NYC

She’s always up for a good time, and last night (October 18) Emma Roberts was spotted at the Brazilian Style celebration at the Swarovski Crystallized Concept Store in New York City.

The “Hotel for Dogs” actress smiled for the paparazzi as she posed alongside actress Camila Alves well as Gretchen Mol and Kelly Rutherford.

And of course, Ms. Roberts was dressed to impress in an ensemble and heels by Miu Miu along with plenty of Swarovski jewelry.

Emma also attended the Denim Habit NYC Grand Opening last night, making for a busy evening for the young star.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner To Cement 'Twilight' History At Chinese Theatre

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have been one of the hottest trios in Hollywood ever since the first "Twilight" film—when their fantabulous acting skills (and, in certain cases, their rock-hard abs) made their names forever synonymous with one of the most famous supernatural sagas ever to hit the big screen. But now, they're going to really cement their places in cinematic history.

This is the real deal: According to a press release from Summit Entertainment, Kristen, Rob and Taylor will be honored for their achievements in a triple ceremony on November 3—just a couple weeks shy of the release of "Breaking Dawn"—as they become the latest actors to add their hand- and foot-prints to the famously trod-upon forecourt of Hollywood's Chinese Theatre. It's one of Tinseltown's most favorite traditions, and an honor bestowed on only a few hundred actors in the history of film. So clearly, their performances as the starcrossed trio in our favorite vampire romance made a real impression on someone.

Disney princess Selena Gomez thrills tween crowd at Dome

Call it a cop out. Term it fear of a tween female planet. Or consider it merely savvy corporate relations (Illuminati, shmilluminati — Uncle Walt’s Empire is what really pulls the strings).

Whatever the case, putting finger to keypad and offering a critical take on Disney princess Selena Gomez’s sold-out Saddledome show Monday night is a fool’s errand and about as constructive and useful as shampooing instructions. So best to get out of the way of the wonderful, Waverly juggernaut and, instead, get a handle on what exactly it is that’s giving Ms. Gomez her magic.

Wandering around outside the ’Dome two-and-a-half hours before the show, there were already thousands of young Gomerz (if that isn’t a thing, it is now) wanting to warm up their young lungs by offering their takes on what it is about the 19-year-old actress and singer.

Actually, it was twice as crowded and festive outside the building as it has been for some other recent concerts the building has hosted, with the gaggle of predominantly preteen gals (inside men’s restrooms had been commandeered for the fairer sex) milling about expectantly, waiting in line to have their pictures taken in front of a cardboard cut-out of the star. Or — because, presumably, the Magic Kingdom is in need of some minor repairs and landscaping — they were waiting in an even longer line for the right to purchase everything from T-shirts at $40-bucks-a-pop or photo-heavy programs for a mere $25. (The lineups for the many merch booths inside, by the way, were even that much more redonkulous.)

Thirteen-year-olds Alyssa Gooding and her pal Tianna Haskell were two of the happy, placard-bearing souls seeking a souvenir prior to the performance, driven to town from Medicine Hat by mom Jane Haskell — who confessed to being a fan herself — and with elder sis Kajia Miller, 19. Their take on the whole Gomez phenomenon was sweet and succinct.

“She’s pretty and she has awesome songs,” Gooding said with a grin.

That was what had many of the fans in attendance — the performer’s family-friendly, saccharine dance-pop, which has yielded a number of hit singles with her band The Scene, including Naturally, A Year Without Rain and Love You Like a Love Song.

For her part, the young Haskell agreed with her friend but added another piece to the puzzle. “She’s, like, awesome, and she’s dating Justin Bieber, which is pretty cool,” she said.

Ah, the Bieber factor. Certainly not something to be taken lightly. The Proactiv power couple have been together for several months and Gomez has suffered both the wrath of the jealous, Justin-enamoured — actual death threats in texthand — and a little contact fame and goodwill.

There were many who were at Monday night’s show — and probably for every other one during the tour — who were hoping to catch a glimpse of the Canadian superstar.

“I was actually looking forward to seeing him, but he’s in South America on a tour,” said 10-year-old Calgarian Emily Marko. “So I was kinda bummed.” (Behold the power of social media and the online savvy of the kids: Most fans were not only aware he wasn’t there, but even knew he was in Peru. Did you even know what a “Peru” was at that age?)

Apparently, though, it’s a generational thing, as her concertmates, sister Olivia and her friend Eve Alexander, both eight, were soooo not about the Biebs. “No, I hate him,” said Olivia.

Well, that’s probably the best for 12-year-old Lance Gordon, one of the few males in attendance. Sitting in a cowboy hat, off to the side while his sister Kyla, 10, had her pic snapped with the two-dimensonal Gomez, he was asked if the whole reason he was there is because he was hoping to get a little residual goodwill and shrieked appreciation from those with Bieber-fever.

“Maybe,” he said sheepishly.

Actually, as Kyla was quick to say, her brother’s presence at the show was part of an even more significant passage into manhood, as it was the night before the celebration of his 13th year. “It’s a gift for me and a birthday gift for him,” she said.

True, their mom piped in from a distance that it was a punishment for how mean he’d been to his sister lately, but Lance admitted he was OK with the whole Gomez thing, even if it isn’t entirely his type of music. And that is?

“Country — so Brad Paisley,” he said, not surprisingly. “And Nickelback, I went (to see) here a couple of times.”

Sadly, that latter one is a puzzle that shall remain, like the Caramilk bar, forever a mystery.

As for Gomez, well, minus the boyfriend factor and even the marketing power, her show was exactly what you’d expect and what the 14,000 kids wanted — all lights and sparkly gowns and overly rehearsed dance steps, with her adequate voice buried under the musical equivalent of such trappings. In fact, well into the show, after boisterous versions of such material as A Year Without Rain, Hit the Lights, Round and Round and Love You Like a Love Song, it was hard not to see it as little more than another Disney attraction, a mechanical, well-oiled show. Kind of like Country Bear Jamboree. Except not country. And more bosomy.

And to go into further description would just be foolish.
